 Bongo

Bongos are found in jungles and thick bamboo forests of equatorial Africa.  They are vey shy and elusive and rarely emerge into the open. They are fairly large, heavy-bodied antelopes, with males standing 4 ft at the shoulder. Both sexes have horns. The body is rich chestnut brown with narrow white stripes running across the back and down the side which provides excellent camouflage in dense thickets.

Civet

Civets are closely related to cats.They have catlike bodies, long tails, and weasellike faces. Their fur is gray or brown and marked with various patterns. Civets have scent-producing glands which are located in a double pouch near their genitals. These glands secrete an odor for territory marking.This substance is also used to manufacture perfumes.

Okapi

Okapi belongs to the giraffe family. It is found in the almost sunless rain forests of the upper Congo. It appears as an Giraffe with a shorter neck. It is deep reddish brown with black and white zebra-striped legs. The male develops horns. The okapi was unknown to zoologists until the beginning of the 20th cent.

Bushbaby

The bushbaby is found in the dry forest savannah in southern Africa. They also live in bushlands, woodlands, and the south Sahara dessert. It is about 7 to 8 inches long. Their coat is gray with a yellow-tinged underparts. Bushbabies weight about 5 to 10 ounces. They have long tail and short ears. There are six species of bushbabies ranging from 4 inches to 12 inches long. In Africa they are called as Komba.

Jeroba

Jeroba is a small rodents of found in arid parts of Asia and  North Africa. Jerboas have extremely long hind feet and short forelegs. They always walk upright or hop like kangaroos. A jerboa can hop faster than a person can run, and a single leap may carry it more than 6 ft They are well known for their silky ears. It is known to be a nocturnal animal.
